My boss sent me a selection of stock shots and promised to donate $20 for every one I recreated. This is the first. It’s called “Cyber woman taking a vitamins [sic] from corn”. My deep etching skills are clearly as amazing as ever.
That’ll be $20, thanks Rod.
You can’t see it here but the bottom half of this decade-old, possibly designed for raves*, frock is silvery. You can sort of see it here, although it doesn’t translate in photos very well. Well, not photos I take. Anyway, that was justification enough for it to be my cyber woman dress.
And before anyone gets concerned I’ve gone native or rummaged through the trash, the needle is a prescription Clexane-filled syringe. That’s hardcore medicine I’ve wasted for this shot, and I hope none got on the corn, cos I ate that mofo afterwards, and I dunno what side effects ingestion — as opposed to subcutaneous injection — might have!
Cob of corn … 66 cents. Wasting blood thinner for the sake of a photo … about $5 for one syringe? Supporting the search for an early detection test for ovarian cancer … priceless. Donate: www.everydayhero.com.au/mellygoround.
*I wouldn’t know.
