Had hoped this one would turn out better, but the perspective is wrong, the arms are wrong (yet again!) and etc. Note: giant hands!
The description for this photos is: “Woman preparing to do some serious gardening.” I have some serious gardening to do — you can tell by the messy hair — to turn the junkie patch into a raised garden bed with edibles and greenery. And no junkies.
But there’s no way you’d find me gardening in this frock. From Modcloth, the Kennebunkport dress in Latitude (latitude is a colour now?) is no longer available so I’m glad I bought it when it was.
I first saw it during Frocktober last year, and fell in love with it but due to my strict ‘no clothes’ policy about buying online, I left the site and vowed not to go back. Of course I went back. Several times. I calculated measurements and costs (Modcloth’s no-charge return policy doesn’t apply to Australia) and then, after several weeks — still adoring it and with the dollar at parity — I decided that just this once I’d break my online shopping rules. And I’m glad I did because it fit. Perfectly.
I’m still wary about clothes shopping online, and would much rather buy locally where I can try an item on and support a local store, but I’ve never been happier with a purchase than I am with this. You can see a full view of the frock here.
